Amazfit GTS 4 Mini Specification and Details

Amazfit is one of the most popular wearable brands with various options in different budget categories. The Amazfit BIP is the more affordable wearable for the mass market, while the GTS series is a mid-range option. Moreover, the Amazfit GTR and T-Rex wearables offer better design and build quality with some unique features compared to their budget counterparts.

The brand recently refreshed its famous GTS mini-series of wearables with the launch of the new Amazfit GTS 4 mini, which features a metal frame, AMOLED display, 15-day battery life, always-on display support, and more.

Build and Design:

The watch weighs just 19 grams, making it extremely light, and you can barely feel its weight when you wear it on your wrist. However, we would not call it the highest-quality watch, as we have seen watches in this price segment that feel better.

As for the quality of the strap, it is very nice. We had no problems wearing the watch for a long time, but you have to find the right fit for your wrist, or it might feel a bit scratchy on your skin. Also, you can easily swap the strap for another one you prefer.

Display:

The display of the GTS 4 mini is a small step up from its predecessor, the GTS 2 mini. The screen size has increased from 1.55 to 1.65 inches, and the resolution has improved slightly. It is still an AMOLED display that supports the “Always on Display” feature.

The display is by far one of our favorite aspects of the GTS 4 mini. It is sharp, vivid, and sufficiently bright, so you can easily view the time outdoors in direct sunlight.

Performance:

The Amazfit GTS 4 mini uses the Bluetooth 5.1 standard for connectivity, and we never had a problem pairing the watch with our smartphone. The connection was rock solid and effortless, so there were no complaints on the connectivity front.

The watch’s UI performance was also pretty smooth, with occasional jerkiness. As we mentioned earlier, the lack of a 60 Hz display makes the watch feel a bit sluggish and detracts from the overall experience.

Moving on to the most important part of any fitness watch, activity tracking. During our testing, we found the watch to be quite accurate in heart rate and step counting. However, it did happen that the watch did not count some steps, but this is something that can be fixed with a future software update.

Apple Series 8 Watch

Apple Watch Series 8 comes in two different sizes those are 41mm and 45mm size. Whereas we have two options on the series 8 watch aluminum model and stainless steel model. The aluminum model comes in 4 color options midnight, starlight, silver, and red while the stainless steel watch is available in three color options silver, gold, and graphite.

The Apple Watch Series 8 design remains unchanged with its curved body in 41mm and 45mm sizes similar to the Apple Watch Series 7. Moreover, the watch gets a Glass front, and a sapphire crystal back with an aluminum frame that weighs the Apple series 8 41mm watch at 32grams and 45 watches at 38.8 grams.

The Apple Watch Series 8 packs an S8 chip along with a dual-core CPU and PowerVR GPU whereas the S8 chip features the same specification as the S7 chip. This means theirs no major improvement in speed and efficiency. Furthermore, the Apple watch series runs on a watch OS 9.0 along with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage.

Best Midrange Smartwatch Amazfit GTS 4 & Amazfit GTR 4

The Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4 have been officially unveiled by Amazfit with their pricing and availability details. These smartwatches share most of their features but come with different designs, dimensions, and weights. They also have different screens and batteries.

The Amazfit GTR 4 has a circular design and sports a 1.43″ always-on AMOLED color touchscreen of 466×466-pixel resolution protected by tempered glass. It’s covered with an anti-fingerprint coating and surrounded by an anti-glare bezel.

The GTS 4, on the other hand, comes with a rectangular design and features a 1.75″ always-on AMOLED color touchscreen having 390×450-pixel resolution. The GTS 4’s display is also covered with tempered glass and an anti-fingerprint coating, but it doesn’t come with an anti-glare bezel. Besides, the GTS 4 supports over 150 watch faces while the GTR 4 comes with more than 200 watch faces.

Both watches have an aluminum alloy middle frame, with the bottom shell made of high-gloss sprayed polycarbonate. However, at 34g, the GTR 4 is heavier than the GTS 4 by seven grams.

The GTR 4 can last up to 14 days in a typical usage scenario on a full charge, whereas the GTS 4 can provide eight days of endurance. These numbers come down to seven days and four days, respectively, in a heavy usage scenario. And if you are using the accuracy GPS mode, the GTR 4 can offer up to 25 hours of endurance while the GTS 4 will last up to 16 hours. That said, both smartwatches can fully charge in about two hours.

The Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4 work with Android (7.0 and above) and iOS (12.0 and above) devices and have Bluetooth 5.0, BLE, and WLAN 2.4GHz connectivity.

Google Pixel Watch

The Pixel Watch runs on Google’s Wear OS3, and it is compatible with any Android phone running Android 8.0 or later. While its sleek design matches well with the new Pixel 7 & Pixel 7 pro phones, you don’t need to have a Pixel phone to take advantage of this watch’s capabilities. Only one feature is exclusive to the Pixel phones, which is using the watch as a remote control for the camera.

The Pixel Watch looks familiar. It has a circular face, the same as favored by most non-smart watches. The rounded design makes perfect sense: A clock’s hands move around a circle, after all. The face actually looks more like a traditional watch than Samsung’s round Watch5 and Watch5 Pro, and it stands in contrast to Apple Watch’s rectangular shape.

The bright OLED display looks crisp and sits inside a round casing that’s somehow neat, svelte, and full of personality. It doesn’t have the large, flat screen of some smartwatches. Instead, it has a gentle dome on top and a matching one at the back. The one on the back is there to ensure strong contact between the heart monitor sensor and your skin. The watch looks sleek and attractive, but the rounded shape has one downside: You can’t display as much text as you can on a rectangular display like the Apple Watch, which makes it harder to read notifications.

The Pixel Watch’s heart rate monitor runs constantly in the background, so you can see your heartbeat with a quick glance. This is very cool, and something the Apple Watch can’t match. On Apple’s timepiece, you need to tap the display to see the latest figure. Accuracy seems near-identical across the Apple Watch and Pixel: When the two were sitting side-by-side on my wrist, the readouts were within one beat per minute.

The gesture-based Pixel Watch interface is straightforward, with swipes from the top, bottom, left, and right delivering different results. You can access the apps by pushing in the crown and rotating it to scroll through a list. This is better than on the Apple Watch, where you’re initially faced with a choice of tiny circular app icons to move around or the (much better) list option.
